JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for spearheading the production of all HMI products under our products and services team.  You will be responsible for ensuring our products are manufactured and sourced to the highest professional standards.  We aren’t looking for someone who enjoys their 9-5 and fills out TPS cover sheets for fun.  We are looking for someone to help us grow our business, produce our world class products in a high quality and repeatable manner, and ensure that any repair and maintenance requests from customers are completed to our exceptionally high standards.  We are looking for innovation and people who aren’t afraid to do things differently. The candidate we choose for this role will have full stack control, including maintenance and necessary upgrades to HMI’s inventory system, as well as our workflow management systems.   

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Development and management of our production teams (from engineering to technicians).
  • On time production of HMI’s world class technology.
  • Management of our inventory system.
  • Work with engineering to ensure that DFMR has been completed for mature product lines.
  • Design and manage production lines for HMI technologies.
  • Management of our inventory systems.
  • Ensure minimum product stocks are correct and filled.
  • Obtain compliance certifications as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering (or production engineering)
  • At least eight (8) years of work experience in a manufacturing setting
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience managing production for products
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work within strict deadlines.

Preferred

  • At least ten (10) years of work experience
  • Experience within the automotive, aerospace, or robotics industries.
  • Large scale production and rollout experience
  • Experience in a startup environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing some duties of this job, the employee may be required to travel domestically and / or internationally. This role may also require exposure to a variety of construction and/or offshore platform job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
